About the Nursery
In 1913 Roderick A. MacLeod began this small, family-owned business in Northampton, MA with Smith College as his first client. Offering services in landscape design and stonework, Roderick's clientèle soon expanded to include Northampton School for Girls, Burnham School for Girls, Stonleigh Prospect, Vassaar College, President Calvin Coolidge and later, Mrs Coolidge.
Today, MacLeod Nursery continues to provide creative landscape design, planting and maintenance – expert trimming of shrubs, hedges and fruit trees. Our horticultural crew does gorgeous stone and brick work, creating walls, patios and pathways.
In recent years we've worked in and around Western Massachusetts, from Williamstown to Windsor Locks, CT and from Belchertown to Westfield on residential, commercial, industrial and the occasional government projects.
